The second garden that we created for this daring client was built of a strong axis that the design hinged off.
Before
The original property had a generous, yet fairly nondescript garden with multiple levels but nothing level!
The client gave us carte blanche to come up with a unique concept that made the best use of the space for his children and still be something beautiful to enjoy.
Strong Axis
The concept hinged off the fact that the house is at an oblique angle to the rest of the property boundaries, which created a series of connected squares. These squares play off the resulting strong axis that run through the garden, culminating in a lower square of wild and yet controlled grassland and perennials.
